Full Birch or Birch-Faced?
Both are commonly sold as birch plywood, but their internal construction and cost are quite different.
Full Birch Plywood
Birch veneers are used throughout the panel for a dense, uniform and stable structure.
- Full birch veneer core
- Clean and uniform exposed edges
- High strength and stability
- Excellent CNC machining performance
- Ideal for premium furniture and cabinetry
Birch-Faced Plywood
Birch veneer is used on the surface, while poplar, hardwood or combi veneers form the core.
- Natural birch appearance
- Lighter core options available
- Suitable for general furniture production
- Flexible core and performance levels
- More economical than full birch
Birch Plywood Face Grades
Galaxi Wood supplies birch plywood in several face grades to match different appearance, processing and budget requirements. Below are four commonly used birch veneer face options.
B/S Grade
Premium birch face veneer with a clean and uniform appearance. Suitable for visible surfaces, high-end furniture, cabinetry and applications where surface quality matters most.
BB Grade
High-quality birch veneer with limited repaired defects. A practical choice for furniture and interior panels where a good face appearance is required with better cost control.
CP Grade
Birch veneer with more repaired areas and natural color variation. Suitable for paint, lamination, overlay or applications where the panel structure is important but the face is less critical.
CP/C Grade
Economical grade for structural, packaging or hidden-use applications. It allows more visible defects and repairs, making it suitable where strength is needed but decorative face quality is not a priority.
Where Birch Plywood Is Used
Birch plywood is widely used where stable construction, clean machining and an attractive wood surface are required.
Furniture & Cabinetry
Suitable for cabinets, wardrobes, shelving, tables and premium furniture components.
Interior Panels
Used for decorative wall panels, interior joinery, partitions and architectural wood applications.
CNC Components
Stable construction makes it suitable for routing, drilling, cutting and precision-machined parts.
Industrial Use
Suitable for jigs, components, packaging, specialty fabrication and other industrial applications.
Quality Control & Export Packing
Before shipment, key panel characteristics can be checked against the agreed specification to reduce quality variation between production batches.
Inspection requirements can be adjusted according to the order, application and buyer's agreed quality standard.
Birch Plywood FAQ

Full birch plywood uses birch veneers throughout the panel, while birch-faced plywood uses birch veneer on the surfaces with poplar, hardwood or combi veneers inside.
Which birch plywood grades can you supply?
Common options include B/S, BB, CP and CP/C face grades. The suitable grade depends on appearance, finishing and final use.
Can you supply 1250 × 2500 mm birch plywood?
Yes. 1220 × 2440 mm and 1250 × 2500 mm are common export sizes, and other dimensions can be discussed according to production capability.
What thicknesses are available?
Common thicknesses range from approximately 3 mm to 30 mm, including 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18 mm.
Can the plywood be customized for furniture production?
